Most Croatian bloggers earn from 3.500 to 5.500 kunas.
Today, at DIABLOG conference, the results of the second research of the status of the Croatian blogger scene were presented by Dialog komunikacije. The study was conducted on 171 active bloggers. Most of the respondents are women (90.6%) living in Central Croatia, between 25 and 35 years and highly educated (42.7%).
Although blogs continue to be considered a hobby, compared to last year, a growing number of bloggers earn income from it, and most are present on Facebook and Instagram, whose use is on the rise. Although video was highlighted as a trend last year, most bloggers still do not use video production. Most have monthly earnings between 3,500 and 5,500 kuna.
The respondents reported that they have been writing their blog from 3-5 years (36.6%) and that they publish 2-3 blog posts per month (42.1%). The most prominent categories are beauty (31%), gastro (17%), fashion (10.5%) and travel (6.4%).
The vast majority of bloggers work with brands (77.8%), and their co-operation involves compensation in money or product / merchandise / service.
Top trends were highlighted by "live", video and Instagram stories. Brands were told to expect more paid co-operations, more respect for the blogger's profession, and opening up to new co-operations and new ideas.
