A website is a mirror of every business activity. It represents you, your profession and employees and connects you with the target group of users who will thus get a first impression of your company. When user comes on your site, in most cases, that is his first encounter with you so you want to leave the best possible impression. Just like on the first “date” you want to show yourself in the best light and keep the interest of the other party.

Here’s how to improve your chances:

1. If your website hasn’t been updated since the last decade, do so as soon as possible. A clean, modern design and a simple interactive layout are key to the good, functioning web. In addition to being more visually appealing to users, they will find it easier to navigate and get to the information they need faster.

2. Make your website well-suited for mobile devices! Most users primarily reach for a mobile phone whether it is a quick search for information, reading articles or browsing media content. Pay special attention to their user experience – they are the majority.

3. Fill in your site metadata correctly (title tags, descriptions, alt text, etc.). If you don’t do it right or don’t do it at all, you will negatively affect the visibility of your site on search engines (SERP). Your goal is to get as close as possible to the top of the first page of Google search. Why? Because research has shown that as many as 75% of users will not open even second page of Google results, but will rather try to “google” something else.

4. A business blog can be the perfect addition to your website. This can help you improve the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of your website, set you apart from the competition and demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in the field of your business. It’s a win-win situation.

5. Don’t forget to add a contact form and / or your address to make it more accessible and recognizable to local users.
