Master Public Speaking in 10 Key Steps
While some are "born" for public speaking, for others, it can present a significant, yet conquerable, challenge!
Podcasts have become a part of everyday life for most of our colleagues — discover their favorite recommendations and find inspiration for your own listening!
In recent years, podcasts have become one of the most popular formats of media content. With an increasing number of shows covering a wide range of topics, podcasts have found their place in the daily routines of listeners worldwide, including our team. Whether listening in the car, at the office, or while doing household chores, we asked our colleagues which podcasts are their favorites.
Marko started listening to podcasts in 2018, when they were just beginning to gain attention. He is most drawn to those covering pop culture and activism topics, and his ideal podcast would feature guests like David Lynch, Björk, or Thom Yorke. In his headphones, you can also hear Tampon Zona, Agelast, and A Bit Fruity, although he admits he doesn’t listen to them regularly, but rather occasionally, depending on his mood.
He often finds inspiration for what to listen to next on TikTok, a social network that has played a key role in the evolution and popularization of podcasts, primarily in the context of TMI (too much information). On one hand, there are podcasts covering useful and interesting topics from which you can learn a lot, on the other hand, we increasingly encounter content where anyone thinks they can be a guest and that their opinion is relevant. When that line is crossed, the podcast loses its purpose and becomes counterproductive.
However, this is usually not the case with the increasingly popular business podcasts, which are also inspired by TikTok, like Lider, a successful example pointed out by Nataša. In addition to this, there is also the unmissable Poslovni FM. Both focus on topics such as business trends, leadership, and professional development. They are useful to anyone who wants to hear authentic stories about (un)success, overcoming personal and business challenges, business advice, and views on various economic and entrepreneurial issues.
Pop Culture and Influencers
Bruna entered the world of podcasts three years ago and most often chooses lifestyle or pop culture podcasts. Of all the ones she’s listened to, her favorites are Clown Vibes, BinchTopia, The Comment Section, and Coffee Break German. She would love to guest on podcasts, and highlights Prijatna Kavica as an example, as it covers topics that require us to be “chronically online” to understand and participate, with the added benefit of being in Croatian, which eliminates language barriers.
Franka, on the other hand, revealed that she often plays a YouTube vlog or Netflix show in the background, but podcasts have also become part of her after-work routine. The podcast she highlights is “Što je s glavon?” hosted by famous Croatian influencer Marko Vuletić. Marko brings honest and relaxed conversations on topics many can relate to – from daily challenges to personal stories. Given that his audience is mostly younger generations, a special bonus is that his podcasts often touch on the topic of mental health.

How much attention do we pay to holiday campaigns? Are we more attracted to innovative concepts or traditional motifs? We found the answers to these and many other questions by conducting the Vox Populi survey in December.
